Digital OPG  X-RAY

An OPG is a panoramic X-ray of the upper and lower jaws, including the teeth. The OPG unit is specifically designed to rotate around the patient’s head during the scan.

At Magnus diagnostic centre we have an advanced OPG machine that offers a high quality imaging. We have both digital system and printable OPG xray.

What can OPG detect?

OPGs are an amazing diagnostic tool for detecting irregular teeth, cysts, tumors and infections. Back in the day, a dentist would place a small flexible object in your mouth and proceed to take an X-ray so they could look at a specific tooth that was causing a person concern.

Can OPG detect Temparo mandibular joint?

It is most often used to check your jaw joint, the TMJ (temperomandibular joint).

Is OPG x-ray painful?

The procedure is performed very quickly. As with any X-ray, the patient feels no discomfort during the procedure and can continue with their daily routine afterwards.
